I am the 35-year-old mother to four amazing children, boy and girl fraternal twins included. Over the past ten years, I have taught various grades in elementary school and believe any day is a good day to read to a child. I am the Program Administrator for the TJ Atchison Spinal Cord Injury Research Program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and also serve as consultant / freelance writer for Clarke-Washington EMC’s magazine, Alabama Living. During my free time (which I have to hide or plan a few days in advance to get), I enjoy writing, reading, jogging, and spending time with my family & friends. I am honored to co-author THE HUMAN CANDIDATE - an exclusive account of the first participant in Geron's Stem Cell Clinical Trial. This amazing story of TJ Atchison is a true testament of hope and courage to millions across our world.
